Minimum qualifications:

Level of education & TRAINING:

·          Must have BS in related field or equivalent work experience of 5 years or more.

·          Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

·          Must have Basic Math Skills.

·          Must Have General Computer Skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

·          Must have advanced HACCP training or be HACCP certified or gain these as a priority.

·          SQF Certified Practitioner, level 3 is preferred.Must be prepared to complete relevant training and certification provided or requested by the Director of Quality and Food Safety

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the day-to-day activities associated with process and product improvements and insuring the integrity of materials and finished products, Including , but not limited to: (1) The Coordination, Scheduling, and Execution of On-Line Quality Control, (2) Incoming Materials Inspections, (3) Shelf-life/Retained Samples Programs, Validation, and related activities, (4) Insuring the collection of required samples for Microbiological Evaluation and other Sample Requirements, (5) management, coordination, monitoring, and execution of the above, including development, updating, editing, review, and management of all documents, processes, and programs applicable to any of the above activities as assigned. 

·           Supervise, Schedule, and Coordinate the assigned activities of the Materials Inspectors, Shelf-Life auditors, and On-line Quality Control Inspectors.

·           TRAINING: In general, instruct all subordinates in the proper techniques for all assigned tasks, including all Food Safety and Personal Safety policies and requirements.

·           SHELF LIFE: Manage the Department’s Shelf-life and Retained Sample Program, including documentation, trend analysis, and timely reporting.

·          Develop and update the Shelf-life Sample Requirement List for each production Line and publish these to the Quality and Production teams to insure the program is current.

·          Insure that adequate and accurate sampling occurs.

·          Insure that all Shelf-life and Retained Sample requirements are carried out and documented accurately and in a timely manner.

·           MICROBIOLOGICAL TESTING and Test & Hold Programs: Work in collaboration with the Food Safety Team to insure that all Microbiological Testing and Test & Hold activities and procedures are carried out in compliance with all policies and requirements.

·          Train and Monitor these tasks (proper Daily ATP and Daily Sanitation Verification Swabbing procedures, Sample Collection, and Preparing and Submitting Samples to external laboratories and other service-providers).

·          Insure that all required samples are collected and submitted to appropriate laboratories On Time and with Correct Documentation.

·          Insure that Timely Communication and Summary Reports are accomplished
