Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Food Science. Microbiology or other related discipline.
Experience: 5 years experience in quality assurance in the food industry is needed. In depth knowledge and experience with food regulations, plant sanitation HAACP program, microbial analysis, and dairy processing technology will be required. Proven leadership/supervisory skills and a proficiency in PC/related software will be needed.
Job description: Responsible for developing and carrying out in-plant and laboratory programs that will effectively monitor and improve the quality and safety of pasteurized, packaged refrigerated food products. Will ensure that products are in compliance with all regulatory directives and that products satisfactorily meet customers’ specifications.
Provide leadership on day to day interactions with USDA and other regulatory agencies.
