Education: BA Degree in Environmental Sciences or related discipline.
Experience: Three to five years experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a definite plus
Job Description: This position will be responsible for hands-on implementation and maintenance of company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Develops and recommends new procedures and approaches to safety and loss prevention based on reports of incidents and accidents. Knowledge of OSHA, HAZCOM, HAZWOPER, EPA Laws and permitting procedures required by government agencies. Must be able to disseminate information to department heads and others regarding hazards and other safety information. Potential candidates will also need to show evidence of the ability to:
