Summary A leadership position providing world class service, vision, direction, support, and training to the maintenance department for the maintenance and of repair of automated production machinery. In this position you will program, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the documentation for the machine controls
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Programs PLC’s, HMI’s and other machine controllers to meet the requirements of the production process.
Troubleshoots and resolves electrical and pneumatic machine control issues with a focus on prevention of recurrence.
Implements ongoing updates to machine controls to prevent obsolescence and maintain up to date documentation.
Ensures that all control technicians receive proper training and conducts training for the technicians.
Facilitates communication, cooperation, and collaboration across five shifts of maintenance control technicians.
Provides the vision, leadership, and direction to the maintenance department on the controls maintenance strategy to ensure that equipment uptime is maintained at world class levels.
Works collaboratively with the MIT and Engineering groups to set the higher level vision of shop floor controls and give direction new equipment purchases.
Designs and maintains the controls for energy conversion or other industrial plant monitoring systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports but this individual is required to exhibit strong leadership qualities in order to provide direction and ensure coherence between five shifts of maintenance controls technicians
